The Lost Bali Stories - Vol II are true tales of wanderers following the winds of fate from 1985 into the ‘90s. Searching for the sweet taste of pleasure, the sensual winds of every moment, a spiritual quest for the creative energy of life and living, came the vagabonds, the nymphs, the adventurers, the poets, the pirates, and the artists. They came to Bali. A magical island that reached out into the universe, touched the stars and created magic amongst the gods. A special moment in time – Lost Bali.
Volume I contains more than 33 stories by travelers who were in Bali from years 1985-1990.
The stories capture a magic time in Bali’s history before it became ‘modernized’ by mass tourism from 1990 onwards.
Each writer tells a personal story about something that happened to them while in Bali.
Many writers are today successful authors and entrepreneurs in their own right. Historian and author Bruce Carpenter has written the foreword.
Some of the stories are wild, funny, heartfelt, mystic, sad and eye-opening.
In each volume there is a map, some poetry, Hindu blessings and some quotes from famous people who visited Bali.
The reader will take a step back in time and feel the energy of Bali seep through the pages.
