Jeju Island: Nature's Paradise

If you crave natural beauty, Jeju Island is a must-visit destination. This volcanic island offers picturesque landscapes, including the breathtaking Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and the mesmerizing Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Take a leisurely hike along the stunning Jeju Olle Trail, which stretches over 400 kilometers, and discover hidden wonders at every turn. Marvel at the unique volcanic rock formations of Jusangjeolli Cliffs, and unwind at one of Jeju's beautiful sandy beaches. You simply can't miss this paradise on earth!

Gyeongju: Timeless Treasures

To dive into Korea's ancient past, Gyeongju should be on your itinerary. Known as the "museum without walls," this historical city is brimming with cultural heritage sites. Explore the majestic Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire its intricate craftsmanship. The royal tombs of Daereungwon offer a glimpse into the lives of Korean kings and queens of the Silla Dynasty. Rent a bicycle and cycle through the scenic Tumuli Park, where you can witness ancient burial mounds scattered across the lush landscape.

Busan: Vibrant Coastal City

As Simon Dunstan suggests, a visit to South Korea would be incomplete without experiencing the charm of Busan, a vibrant coastal city. Explore the bustling streets of Nampodong and sample local delicacies at Jagalchi Market, one of Korea's largest seafood markets. Unwind at Haeundae Beach, a popular destination offering golden sands and crystal-clear waters. Don't forget to visit the renowned Gamcheon Cultural Village, famous for its colorful, quirky houses nestled on the hills. Busan truly encapsulates the essence of coastal living in South Korea.

Authentic Korean Cuisine

No trip to Korea is complete without indulging in its mouthwatering cuisine. Whether you are a fan of fiery kimchi, savory bulgogi, or delectable bibimbap, the country offers an array of culinary delights. Simon Dunstan recommends exploring local street markets like Gwangjang Market in Seoul or Namdaemun Market in Busan, where you can try various street foods. Don't miss out on the unique experience of dining at a traditional Korean barbecue restaurant, savoring tender grilled meat right at your table.

South Korea is a land of wonders and surprises, where ancient traditions merge with modern innovations. From exploring palaces and temples to immersing oneself in stunning natural landscapes, it offers a truly enriching travel experience.
